    Partner Desk

1790's , The customer had been following a desk about the same era a little larger, for the past 10 years at auctions. She missed it again for the 3rd time recently and decided to have me recreate the same desk. So with showing the other desk pictures you will need to watch this un fold. and I'll post the other desk when I'm finished or maybe not. It dose have a leather top and a oriental flavor.

After removing the old leather , cleaning the surface and edging the to receive leather. We also had to carve some new pieces to repair the broken areas on the top. This top is so brital you can fold it in half like closing a book. Jarrod made it stable.

The base and draws were not in back shape.

Ready to start the art work.

Here is a bit of painting. 2 hrs started Right to left. Still needs some detail and thinking of adding a bit of color. Just a bit. One side will be done.
