i'm using sketchup for the original drawings, and open source converter software to go from sketchup to cnc readable code. all that is on the laptop that will be the brains of the machine.

Is that the stuff Darren found? (i forget the name) -- or is that the Phlatscript (SketchUCam) plugin? I'm always on the lookout for fancy schmancy (free!) software
