I'm willing to work with someone on a deal. But no one is near by.

Since it is a yard tree, go over it very slowly with a metal detector. Those burls could be hiding some metal from people nailing up a clothesline to someone hanging a horseshoe on a limb near the crotch of a limb long ago cut off past the shoe.

From all I know about maple , it curl, it's burl and birds eye. If it all works out one day I will have an extraordinary stock for a 50 cal.

You must have a guy local with a portable ban mill. Check your yellow pages and have him come right to the house and cut it up. Last I knew the guys around here where at a dollar a BF to mill it.
