I had been saving pieces from her crib for a special project and was able to use a couple of the slats in her arbor. The big day has come and gone and I get to keep my favorite project to date until they get a house. The legs are laminated 1x4 and 2x4 a lot of extra work but are straight and true. The arch piece was cut from a 2x6.

What a great memento. I'm sure it meant a lot to her

Very cool Eric, I'm sure it meant a lot and will be a family treasure for a long time to come.

Very nice Eric, I like the bits of detail all over the place on it. Will be a great reminder for them. Cool project.

I am just happy I decided to hang on the crib parts and happened to glance at them when I was doing some rough sketches. Usually I judge my work by the size of the smile not by watery eyes and a hug, but in this case I think I got the project spot on. While I would much rather seeing her in the yard every day this will have to do for now.

Very nice! I bet she really appreciates the memories. In contrast, someone I know bought a very nice arbor for their special day and then returned it to the store the following day for a full refund.
