    Hehe - so we used DMSO on horses a lot for joint and muscle pain. It works by opening up the blood flow dramatically so can "heal" (help heal) bruises in days that would normally take weeks. It does enter the blood stream ridiculously fast and if you get some on your fingers you can taste it a few seconds later (tastes kinda like garlic). Because it goes straight into the bloodstream its also used for dermal application of some medicines for folks who can't handle getting holes poked in them (i.e. hemophiliacs) and you have to be a little careful to only apply it to clean skin.
