Camphor Laurel 6x7" finished in WOP and buffed. The rule of thirds here has been tossed out as its based on Asian shapes and forms. I have attempted to produce a form that is common in many part of South East Asia along with the rolled or curved rim treatment.

Very nice as usual, Hughie. I can see the resemblance in form to certain Asian ceramic pieces I've seen. And I'd say your influence survived the translation nicely, while still having your signature look. :thumb:

Thanks guys, this one was something of a first as I have made several attempts in the past to marry some of the Asian shapes with wood turning with mixed success and it turned out better than expected.
