since i was in the middle of a production run of cutting boards, my wife :blah: asked me if i would make her a cutting board too. since she already has 2 of them, i decided that it would be safer to just make the board, and not ask any silly questions. since i had a bit of leftovers from the production run, i decided to make my first edge grain cutting board. i used a cutting board design program (cbdesigner) and came up with a board that she approved of. then i cut the parts and glued them up, and clamped them before the serious sanding commenced. all that is left now, is to give the top and bottom a good sanding, clean up the sides, and give a slight round over to the edges.

finished off the board today. sanded to 220, rounded the edges, another quick sanding, then the oil. herself was very happy with the results.
