Door Stop

While this isn't 100% turned, i figure it qualifies as a turning.

This is a door stop that I made for my sister. She has a door in her house that she can't keep open. So I made this for her for her birthday.
It is laminated maple and purple heart, with a lacquer finish.

Now nobody will go through that door. They will be too enamored looking at the beautiful "door holder opener" to go on through.

That's a door stop too good to be used given what I have seen ends up happening to door stops I have made. Well done Sean thanks for posting.

Funny thing it is actually upside down in the pictures. I finished this late one night, and hurried to take the pictures. By the time I realized that it was upside down, I had already given it away. Doh!

It was a little tricky. If you do it right you can end up with 2 almost matching door stops. My 2nd half didn't quite make the cut, so to speak!
