    I met a young Scotsman...

...in church yesterday. He's a student, living in an off-campus residence with four or five other students renting apartments. I asked him if he were getting along Ok with the neighbours. He say, "Aye, but they're a bit strange and noisy."

    "How so?" I asked.

"Well, the one keeps banging his head on the wall into the wee hours, and there's another keeps screaming at the top of her lungs."

"Have you talked to the landlord about it?" I asked.

"Och, no. I just ignore them and keep playing my bagpipes."
    Cheers,

Q: Why do bagpipers walk when they play?
A: To get away from the noise.

    Q. What's the difference between a bagpipe and an onion?
    A. No one cries when you chop up an bagpipe.

Alfred Hitchcock once said "I understand the inventor of the bagpipes was inspired when he saw a man carrying an indignant, asthmatic pig under his arm. Unfortunately, the man-made object never equalled the purity of sound achieved by the pig."

Not being Scottish I may have spelled that wrong.
