Ringing for a change

And what did your trial reviel Chas...other than a really cool box!
1. That the control of the lid ring joints as far as fit is concerned was easy to solve.
2. Determining their proportions (diameters) to look balanced in the finished piece needs more thought.
3. Need a couple of changes in holding methods of components to avoid faffing about to gain easy tool access.
4. Need to tie down component sequence to aid achievement of 1. and avoid having to use any measuring callipers.

Still not happy with work content/time consumption of lid to box join, too much reliance on measuring fit and error prone, can't find a method of putting wood back on !!

Very nice, Chas. I'm scratching my head trying to figure out an efficient way to do the ringed lid and end up with such nice joints inside and out. Very well done. :thumb:

And as an aside, I shall endeavor to use "faffing about" in at least one sentence per day for the rest of this week. :D
