Not really  but sometimes it feels like it.
I started a project this a.m. with a large hunk of wood.
When I got it turned to round I decided I did not like the appearance of the wood. So, I started another and just got that one to round. Looks OK so now I'll go back and finish.
Enjoy what I have done so far.

:thumb:I really appreciate all the great replies. One of the things I love about this forum is that the members have a sense of humor. That is not so on another (not woodworking) forum I belong to. If humor is attempted the responses are often scathing to the point of being hateful. No so here.
I posed that out of a sense of frustration and just wanting to vent a little. My time on the lathe was wasted on a hunk of wood that, when turned, was just plain 'blah' in appearance. Had to start over. Oh, well. Keep smiling folks. :D
