    Candle Box

    Here's a pencil/candle box I recently made. Cherry, finished with Bush Oil.

    I like the three storage area idea and the angled joint is cool. How did you come up with this idea?

    The angled joint is necessary to allow the top box section to rotate. If it were squared off, it would bind.

    As for design, I saw a picture once...

    I see now. I did not realize it rotated at first. Now that you point it out it is obvious.

    That's pretty cool, like how the sliding lid acts as the lock when closed...nicely done!!!
