    Gun Rack

I have the need to build a gun rack. What size gun rack do you have and how many guns does it hold?

All of mine (well, most of them) are in a gun safe. Are you looking to build a wall-mounted rack?

Chuck i've made them 2, 3 and 4. Now after having the house broke into, and all my guns stolen a number of years ago. I now do as Vaughn and got a safe.

I have a request to build a rack in a 8' X 7' safe One corner of it will be for long guns at 5' x 5' I might just lose the job and send this link to them http://www.gun-racks.com/all_rotary_gun_racks It looks like that might be the best way to git alot of guns in a small space.

Is it for the house or the truck?

My dad used to have a couple of really nice glass display cases. One for the long guns and one for the pistols.

    Both are long gone.

I'd only have a gun rack if it was to keep one handy by the front door, and I'd put it in the safe when I was gone.

Then again at $304 for the 17 gun rack if I can find the butt cups I might just be able to out bid them

Well that's different. An 8x7 room would be a blast to build racks for.

Brent back in the early 80's we went to a friend's house in TRC NM He was at work when we arrived. So we went on in and made ourselves at home. The guy we went with said as we went in just so you know we are probably gonna come across a gun or two when we go in. Yes they will be loaded. He was right just inside the door a 12 gauge leaning up next to the door. Two steps to the fridge and a 45 laying on top of it. A 30-30 next to the couch and a 44 on the end table. All loaded seems to me we had a man that was paranoid about someone busting in on him but had no fear that someone might bust in and steal his guns.

So a run with my friend Google and I have yet to find the plastic butt cups that company uses. Would ya use some sort of flocking or just leave them plain wood?
