    Cherry burl bowl

    After posting a pic on Jim's post about how we turn the bottoms of bowls. I realized i hadn't posted this over here. it's 10 x 3 3/4 and just BLO with wax and buffed. Nothin real special, just a nice piece of wood.Click image for larger version.

    like the rim detail steve, gives it a thinner look than the thickness it really is

    Agreed, its an interesting design feature; also seems to draw the eye up and towards the center some.
