Pretty Darn Cool!

I would not want to be the person in yellow as it is landing to the left. Looks like that person was only a couple of feet away from the tip of the wing! I cannot imagine all the pressure of landing that bugger with all the people there.

now to see how much it can carry in armaments?

Here's the Northrup Grumman info sheet: http://www.northropgrumman.com/Capabilities/X47BUCAS/Documents/UCAS-D_Data_Sheet.pdf . They advertise 2 weapons bays that will hold 4500lb of weapons. Not too bad for something that size. There are plans to be able to scale the Unmanned Combat Aerial System (UCAS) up to bomber size. The official DoD position is that we want to use unmanned systems as much as possible to do the things that are "dirty, dull, or dangerous". There are things being discussed in UCAS employment even Steve Canyon (for all us old guys) never envisioned - and that's just the unclassified stuff.

"Tailess"? Seems like the designs are slowly approaching a flying saucer configuration. ;) Who knows what the classified designs look like. :thumb:
