a piece of work in progress

for my 35th anniversary this year(2nd of dec), my wife is purchasing a piece of jewelry.
We rarely exchange gifts, but this one Im looking forward to wearing.
we had the jeweler make me a solid 18K gold hand plane charm with a diamond on the knob.(I wear it around my neck on a chain)
He had to make it from scratch, and we gave him a site to look at an internet picture.
He wanted to get our ok on the piece today, before he continued, although it looks pretty much done to me except for some tweaking and polishing.
He showed me he went to home depot and purchased a bucks hand plane to use as his model so he could see it in 3d

I think he did a great job.

sorry about the poor pic quality, cell phone, when its finished next week Ill post a clear finished picture.

That's pretty cool! I'd be afraid to wear it myself.

    Congrats on 35 years!

    That's very cool, Allen. Congrats!

Probably gonna cost you bigtime in favors you'll owe her, though.
