    Make Your Own Tree

    Saw this over on LJ's forum. Very beautiful. Would really take a lot of practice I would think.

    just using the skew on the lathe takes practice let alone the carving to the correct length.

    It's beautiful! He's obviously a talented person with a steady hand. If it were me I think I would have a tendency to slip & take out a whole row of curly limbs.

    The tool he was using on the lathe looked to me like a blade out of a plane with a handle attached. Not sure I only watched it once.
