Need sketch up help Update Bookcase built

Really nice work Bob. Routing the shelves around the slats was a great idea, nice effect, and nice job matching the grain. You MIL will be proud of this piece of furniture.

I was thinking about it Larry. Especially after seeing Steve's beautiful job on the bookcase he made. I was concerned that the 3/8" boards I used wouldn't be thick enough to work all that well with the shiplap. That's why my first idea was a T&G. I almost used a "V" cutter router bit on the joints after to give it the T&G look but decided not to press my luck :rofl:
 
3/8" is enough for ship lap bob,, try it with some scrap to get a feel for it.. you can put a bead on one edge and have it look really sharp.. glenn brdley has done it several times
