After some research and reading, I was able to clean up the Stanley Bailey No. 7 I bought. Now the rust is off and it is covered in 'Top saver', with wax on the Japanning. I have replaced the original knob and tote with a rosewood pair from Highland Woodworking. Yesterday the UPS truck brought my new A2 blade and matching cap iron (chip breaker) from Mr. Hock.

Here is three pictures I took today in the shop.

Looks sweet Ken :thumb:

Feels great after you get one done doesn't it?

Ok, so it looks pretty:thumb: , but have you used it yet?:D

Jim, I have not used it on a 'real' project, but rather just to try and set it up. I still need to do some tuning on the blade positioning. I am not quite happy with it. I am not sure if it is my set up or just the characteristics of a 22 inch sole. In any event, it is not as easy, for me, as an LN.:)
