A couple of yarn bowls made from the neighbors elm that he took down last summer.

Obligatory bottom shot since that seems to be a thing now :p Actually pretty pleased with how the calabash shaped one came out with the pot style feet. The other one is "ok" I guess.

Sneak peak of future thimbles - these turn out (turn.. out) to be a lot harder to get sized correctly than I'd first anticipated they'd be.

Nice Ryan! I really like the calabash. The feet give it a bit of elevation that works well for me...not that the other one isn't sweet looking too.

You missed the obligatory size and finish!

 I knew I missed some obligatorisms

5" tall by 8" and 9" wide respectively. Finished with Shellac and wax.

Do you think the inclusion in the bottom will impede yarn extrusion?

Was a concern that it might catch on the yarn but I buffed the rougher spots a little and the evidence so far is that it look like it'll be ok.

Nice work, Ryan. :thumb: The calabash is my favorite of the two. The angular form of the second one isn't really my cup o' tea, but that's strictly subjective. Other people will prefer that form over the curves of the calabash.
