    A Different Jewelry Box

Another jewelry box for the LOML.

Since you all know how this works, I’ll just note a couple of things you might not be aware of & then flood the thread with pictures.
    · The PC plunge router used to pocket mill the box was a gift from Carol. Thanks Carol!
    · The plane used to remove the high spots from the router template was a gift from Larry. Thanks Larry!
    · The unseen Craftsman router used to contour the lid edges was a gift from Glenn. Thanks Glenn!

    Nice stuff Al!

I'm intrigued by your drill press/milling machine vise + right angle block setup. That looks quite handy.

Did you freehand the rebate with the spiral upcut bit? If so I'm claiming you have steadier hands than I do

    Thanks guys!

Ryan, yes I did do that freehand with a 4-fluted end cutting end mill that I've had in my tool box for perhaps the last 40+ years. Finally putting it to use again. I made the precision 90° angle block & vise when I was a Tool & Die Maker about that time too. They have served me well. After freehanding to ~ 1/32"-1/16" (I'm not as steady as you think) . I then used the sanders to get to the inside & outside "finish line".
