    voids and spirals

Have thinking about how voids and spirals might work and the only problem I had was no burls with voids. So the only thing to do was rework an older piece I did last year.

6x4 Eucalyptus Burl with a couple of voids with spirals. Finished with Satin WOP and waxed over with buffing.

To be honest, I'm kinda torn on this one, Hughie. The spiral carving is world-class is is your usual. The rustic eucalyptus burl is also sweet. And your form is spot on. But I'm still not sure I like seeing your perfect spirals interrupted with the rough voids. Of course it's a subjective opinion, and some folks will like it even more because of the voids, but as I said, I'm kinda torn. Nonetheless, it's still awesome work.

I'm one of the 'like it more because of the voids'...leaves the 'which came first' thought beautifully done!!!
