    A Convertible Bench/Bed

This could be an easy and fairly quick build. It's based on a piece designed and manufactured in France in the early 60s.

Could be considered a day bed or bench. The photo I saw of the original had three cushions on it in bench mode but I was thinking a couple of futons would be good. It would be a good project for an office that occasionally gets used as a guest room.

Bob, I think it is neat, too. It looks like a reasonably easy weekend project at least to get built. I might do one for our guest room this summer.

I was thinking the same thing. Now that my daughter and her family has moved out I need at least 2 more beds. This could fit the bill nicely.
