    Great story, and a tremendous accomplishment.
    Those boats were plywood, as I recall, and would have been built quick and cheap, to meet the immediate need. So, restoration would have been especially challenging, especially when you look at that picture of her beached and down by the stern.
    I hope some of those guys had their grandsons alongside, passing on all those practical skills.
