You DVR XP owners I have a question. They recommend that you put a surge suppressor on the AC line to the Nova lathe. Do all you owners have them on your lathes and where do you get them? Thanks.

I don't have an XP, but the older unit, they say you should use one on the DVR 3000 too. I have a power bar that is sold in computer shops that has a built in surge protector.

No problems to date (knock on wood, fingers crossed!).

Make sure you get one that has the wattage you need to run the XP.

Stu got me one that will handle 3350 joules. That should protect the lathe really well. Tim said it will work slick.

So far so good. Waiting on my Vicmarc chuck for it. They backordered the insert but has since came in so it is on the way along with a spindle adaptor so I can use the chuck with the cole jaws. Awesome lathe my friend.
