lead in to 2 new chairs

the wife said that it was high time that the cushions on the couch were replaced. we went to the local joann fabrics and picked out the covering that she liked the best (wasn't too worried about price, i had a 40% off coupon). after i had recovered the cushions, i had brought up a subject that i was thinking about for a while, and she agreed so quickly i could hardly believe it. this building season i will be replacing the 2 morris chairs (early work, and a bit rickety after 10 years) with chairs based on the design of the couch. to make sure i was committed to this project, i bought another 3 yards of the new material.
