    Switzerland ?

I just got word that I "might" be going to Switzerland for a Grinding symposium in May.

    Anybody live just outside Zurich?

I remember Zurich as a big diamond market city. Grinding/polishing....makes sense. Should e a great trip.

As far as I know, we don't have any Swiss members here, but from all accounts I've heard, Switzerland is a great place to visit. Here's hoping your "might" turns into a "will".

If you have a choice of airlines, the Germanic ones generally serve a better meal (IMO).

I lived in Switzerland for three years back in 1988-1991, although it was on the french speaking side. If you have the chance, apart of visiting Zurich I would suggest you to visit Bern, Lucern, Geneva, Lausanne, Montreux, Interlaken, the Jungfrau mountain, Neuchatel, and many more places.
    Best regards,
    Toni

    Toni,

Lucern has been on my bucket list for quite some time now.

IF - I was going to go - we would land in Zurich - spend a day - then go to Lucern for a couple of day then go to Thun where the Expo center is located.

At this point is does not look like a trip that is going to be approved.

Oh Well. Lucern is still on the bucket list - and now I really want to go.

Diane and I will plan it as a trip in the next 2-3 years.
