Chair repair

New guy here from Indiana. I found a chair setting outside in a garden at a yard sale. Instead of having to buy it the lady of the house gave it to me, so I have nothing invested in it. My sole reason for taking it was to see if I could fix it. I 'm stumped already. I believe this chair is made out of oak. One piece is mostly sanded so I could see what it might look like if it was all done. Pictures (if I did this correctly) are of the seat. The backing piece has warped part of the bow out of it and it has a crack in it that I glued, left overnight and about 30 seconds after the clamps came off I heard it pop back open. How should, or could I fix the crack and how can I bow the backing piece back like it should be. Is any of that even possible?
Thanks,
Gary

Well it looks like I got two out of three pictures done. Maybe I'll learn.
