    live oak burl

    We were at the beach this past week. We've been to the same location several times and I always stop by to check on this beauty. I had my daughter stand in front for some perspective. She thinks I'm crazy! My BIL calls it wood porn. I noticed some rot on the backside this year.

    That is an awesome tree. However, your daughter is a heck of a lot prettier.

    Wonder what that burl is worth. Saw one on a tv show that was smaller and they said $4000. Based on that this one must be at least double.
