    Goin' to Philadelphia...

I'm leaving Wednesday morning to fly to Philly by way of Detroit. These airline routes kill me. I've made a list of the things I need to pick up at Penn State, and I'm going to HD to get a chainsaw at about $30 less than I'll pay in Canada. Besides that, I get to see my wonderful niece, who is visiting her dad this weekend. Going to see my brother is always a good, relaxing trip. Only spending about $300 on tools this trip, but I'm on a fixed income, eh?
    Cheers,

Sounds like fun. Meeting family. Buying toys. Harder to get better than that! Enjoy.

wait... Detroit!? couldn't you fly Buffalo->Philly ??? Driving to Detroit is like more than halfway to driving to Philly, isn't it?

I know, I know, your first sentence means you've had this same thought. Have a fun trip!

I could have had a direct flight, if I hadn't waited so long to book it. If I go back in the fall, I'll book ahead.

It should if I take it out of the box and take the bar off. Or I could pay extra and put the box on as checked baggage. I also have to bring back two #4 planes that I bought on eBay and had shipped to my brother. Coming back is always a challenge.

Don't repeat this to anyone, but I don't like Philly Cheese Steak Sangwedges. There's a place in the Bourse that has a great Kosher meat sandwich that I have to go back for.

go 2 more blocks and you can eat in the city tavern, sit in the same room and sit at the window seat where George Washington sat.

If there's even a whiff of fuel about that chainsaw, the airline will likely refuse to take it.

BTW, HD's selection of chainsaws isn't that great. You'd be better off going to a Stihl, Echo, or Husqvarna dealer and buying a good one. It'll cost more, but it'll be a much better saw.
