At least for most of us in the US. I am done with my temp assignment. I am flying home. I have been away since the end of March except for occasional weekends home. No plans except to see if my tools are not all rusted. Maybe play golf with the wife on Sunday.

Sitting in Seattle waiting for my last flight.

Bet you're glad to be home, Bill. We will spend a quiet weekend...a little BBQ, the first ATB's of the season, and I have eggplant, zucchini and squash to grill.

Welcome home Bill!

Fireworks tonight and tomorrow night. Food and drink mixed in there as well. Almost everyone we know are out of town or leaving this weekend so we will have a low key weekend until we leave ourselves for a few days next week.

On call so I ain't going anywhere this weekend.. but I can get out into the shop so its time to turn turn turn! Tonight we'll be busy comforting the dogs from the fireworks.

Welcome back Bill! Hope your tools are all looking happy.

Rehearsing Friday afternoon with a band that's wanting me to join them. (New band, gearing up to play the local casino circuit.) This rehearsal will be as much an audition for them as it is for me. I don't know any of the other members personally and haven't decided if I want to join the band or not. Friday evening will be sitting around watching relatives make fools of themselves after too many adult beverages as they light up dozens and dozens of cheesy fireworks (fountains and sparklers, with the occasional smoke bomb for good measure). I'd much prefer to be at the large professional fireworks show at the Balloon Fiesta field (with entertainment by Wynonna Judd), but this will be my only chance to see one of my nephews for a few months, so I'll go for the sake of family.

Saturday and Sunday are still up in the air. I have some new music gear to play around with, but not sure if I'll have a chance to mess with it, or if I'll be working on learning new songs for the casino band. I'd like to spend some time in the local mountains, but most of the public areas are closed right now due to fire danger. That'll change once we get the summer monsoon rains later this month. I'll also be making daily visits to see my furry girlfriend Mokoga, 140 pounds of Malamute love. Her owners will be out of town all weekend, so I'll be dropping by daily to keep her (and her three feline housemates) company.

A little of this tonight...

A little more tomorrow and doing some grilling. Then have some parts coming for the RV project and its owner coming up Saturday. Also, I need to take my wifes car for an oil change, so will do some worky work while waiting. Sunday will mostly be chilling with the grandson.

finished up a job and went to have a cold one with the SIL, stopped by job site and the home owner was very happy it was all done:) bill you could have drove from seattle:) glad yu finally got some time off to do what you want:)

we have nothing planned, kids aren't around, maybe dinner with sil and bil.
have to clean out upstairs bathroom, the contractor starts new shower stall Monday.
I have my infusions Monday through weds so Ill be down most of next week, so its going to be pretty boring.

Tossing a brisket on later tonight for a little get together tomorrow.

Just had company up last night, so house is clean, now time to clean up some of the junk around the ranch. Reduced rate dump days this weekend, so get to load up the truck and sit in line for an hour to save 16$

Oh well, It's a 'motivator'.

Might need to brew some beer too...

Recover from my disaster days. Look into the truck leak. Maybe not be fuel related. Might be coolant. Polish the headlight lenses on the car to get it ready to sell. Thinning the herd. Bike on the market, too. Preaching this Sunday so will spend considerable time preparing for that. Continue my SketchUp lessons. Try to see some fireworks tomorrow night.

Smoked 18lbs of shoulder for potlucks at work in two different units. Sampled the stout that I kegged last week...almost there! Finishing target stands for a new pistol on the way. Kegging another batch Monday and brewing a nice Hefeweizen Tuesday.

Happy 4th of July to all our American cousins.

I'm knee deep in another crane for the Playground of Hope, plus a bunch of other work for them, add into that trying to get a motorcycle a buddy left behind ready to sell and I'm busy, also my "Weekend" is basically Sunday only :D

Cheers!

Today is a rain day, literally. Picking up our daughter tonight to spend the weekend with us. Will visit Lake Winnipesaukee, browse, shop & check out the boats at the public docks. Sure miss the boats we used to have (watching rather than owning is so different). Will be watching the fireworks off in the distance from our window.

We're going over to some friends house today for a card game and cook out, then SAT and SUN we're going to just hang at the house... with Dianne's medical problems, seems like we're always on the go, to cardio rehab 3 times a week - 40 miles away, then to a doctor visit in another direction - 40 miles away, then to the drug store for a prescription, 6 miles away, then if she's up to it, we do some shopping, 15 miles away... we need to stay home a day or two...
