    To each their own

    I noticed that my last house went on the market the other day. It was the only house weve bought new.we caught it intheframing stage and my wife got to make most of the design choices.

    I finished the basement, did the stonework, and back patio area.

    Looks like they decided to paint all the woodwork.

    No accounting for taste I guess.
    The natural woodwork was so warm and inviting. Now it looks cold and sterile.

    I dont mind a little painted trim. The kitchen is what really looks bland to me. They even painted the wood around the counter.

    Yep - different strokes!

    We've bought and sold two houses since we've been together. When we saw what the buyers did in each case, it was kinda sad, but it was their choice. Stupid choices, but theirs. We made money on both, so.....
