    Interesting Furniture

A fellow named Avi Fedida in Israel is doing some interesting furniture designs. Here's a low round table he did.

The top is covered in sandpaper and put on a lathe. He then takes piece of various colored woods and sands them to make the rings. A bit of clear finish sprayed on and it's good. I don't know how useful the table would be but it looks pretty cool.

    You can see more here.

Just needs a sphere in the middle to finish it!

Seriously, he really does use an interesting process on his pieces.

It does seem like a some sort of gas giant ought to be in the middle.

    A Two Legged Bench?

    Yes, indeed.

At least you wouldn't have to worry about it being wobbly because one leg is too short.

Or how about a chair with only two legs?

    More here.

He ought to put a couple of those two legged chairs with the table with the hole in it, and sell it as a set.

For someone wiih real good sence of balance, this might be the perfect living room set--lol.

    (it is intersting design though)

Something like the two legged chair could work alright as a camp stool maybe.. wouldn't have to worry about the ground being level anyway.. Or put spikes on the end up of the legs and make them about 18-24" to long and drive them into the sand at the beach...

Always interesting stuff Dave.. thanks for sharing.
