    Not bad, Ned. Still some tool marks but those will go away as you get more proficient. Shear scraping does wonders, but sometimes marks made by riding the bevel too hard won't sand or shear off without a lot of effort. Check this video at 19:50 for a discussion of bevel riding technique.

    That is a great kind of bowl to set on the stairway...A place to put rings and things that are going upstairs later when you go up for some other reason.
