    Quick plastic tool box latch fix

    I've had this Craftsman tool set for several years and recently both of the latches broke off.

    I was digging through a box of hardware today and saw an old window latch and got this idea...

    I've got a similar Craftsman box with broken latches. Thanks for the idea.

    Great idea. Beats the bungee cord I've been using.
    Measure with a micrometer, mark with chalk, cut with an axe.

    Exactly. I also have a bungee on mine. And it's like 20 years old, so it has no elasticity whatsoever.
