    Battening the hatches, Stu?

Looks like you have some weather headed your way.

Some say the land of milk and honey; others say the land of fruits and nuts. All together my sort of heaven.

Power is not taken. It is given. Who have you given yours to? Hmmmm?

Looks like it'll roll across Okinawa first, before heading for 'mainland' Japan. There are a whole lot of Marines, Airmen, and Soldiers stationed there - many with their families, along with a couple million Ryukis. Lots of potential for injuries and damages, for sure!

Today, Sunday here in Tokyo it is cloudy, tomorrow Monday we expect rain, and on Tuesday we expect heavy rain and high wind. Here in Tokyo it will be a bad weather day, but we are on top of a hill, so the worst thing that usually happens, flooding, is not a problem for us. Yes it will be wet and yes it will be windy, but we will be fine.

The media has been hyping this to get clicks, it is silly.

Headlines like "Largest Storm on the Planet to Hit Tokyo!"

They go on about how strong it is, a SUPER Typhoon, a Cat 5 Storm, the deadliest, the worst, the same kind of storm that killed so many in the Philippines recently.

When you drill down into the story it says "By the time this storm gets to Tokyo it will be a normal Cat 3 or even Cat 2 storm.

Down south, in Okinawa and even Kyushu, especially in the countryside, yeah, this is serious, but Tokyo being HIT by the Strongest storm on the planet this year? No, not really.

    Thanks for the concern!
