Japan related. Mostly for Stu
Stu, I just uncovered the wrappings of a package you sent me in 2010 of pen blanks. They are/were interesting woods. If I haven't thanked you previously, apologies and thanks at this late date. I saved the wrapping for a friend who collects stamps.
Other, not so happy news. I just learned from a cousin, that her brother, also my cousin, of course, has died. His name is Henry Ahlgrim and he has lived in Tokyo for many years with his wife, Moe. Henry is younger than me, probably about 68 years old. He battled cancer for years. When my son, Evan, and his family were taking their year long trip to the eastern half of the world they met Henry. Even though I haven't seen him in many years, he is family and I feel a strong sense of loss. You once said he lived not far from you and I'm wondering if you ever had a chance to meet up. In pic, Henry is on left, Evan in red/black jacket.
