    Drop Down Mobile Assembly Table

In my beginner days of woodworking I assembled my larger projects on my garage floor. What a pain that was! I decided I really needed an assembly table. The table would have to be mobile due to limited space in my garage shop. I borrowed the drop design from a New Yankee Workshop episode. I followed the steps outlined by David Marks in a “Woodworks” episode to create a dead flat torsion box with a replaceable melamine top. I made the table just shy of my table saws height to serve as an out feed table as well. I beefed up the construction of the frame and drop down hardware as the MDF torsion box with melamine top is very heavy. The Assembly table works great and I no longer even consider using the floor for assembling projects.

    Great idea Dewayne.
I've seen some with shelves and clamp racks underneath too, for assembly-related tools.

    Thanks for posting this.

"Drop Down" "Drop Down" "Drop Down", Not 'knock down' I just spent 3 minutes looking at and trying to figure out how it all knocked down...and one might of thought Rob was confused

    Looks good & stout Dewayne

    Drop Down Mobile Assembly Table

Yes "drop down" as in it's on wheels and drops down on it's feet.
