I was watching Man Caves and Jason was framing a table top, used something called fixo biscuits. I have never even heard of these things, much less used them, they look really cool..any one have any practical real world experience with these, how do they compare to just doing a standard edge glue up or dowls, regular biscuits etc....looks like Rocklers use to carries them, not available right now, but still has the little video

Hhmm I guess these have been out for awhile, Woodcraft also use to carry them and no longer available. Doing a little research I am starting to see why they aren't real popular. Cheapest price is $45 for 80 of them, fifty cent per is a little expensive just to skip using a clamp which is the only advantage I see, compared to a penny a piece for a dowl or two cents for a biscuit..no cents if you just use glue...lol...probably need 10 or 12 of these to wrap a standard panel..ten bucks to skip using a clamp...looks like those Europeans don't mind, but us American are too cheap to be doing that...lmao..anyway found the full product video. I might buy a pack just for the hell of it for this table project I am doing..I got money to waste...lol..lets see if skipping the clamp phase is worth the money

edit: I must say I really like that glue up table he has, wish I had the room for something like that, I also like that glue bottle stand..looks like Home Depot sells both the biscuits and the glue bottle, but $50 for a glue bottle and stand...jeez no wonder Europe's economy is going to hell, whats wrong with those folks and why is HD going along with their stupid attack.
