Monster HF Tool

Well I finally got to use the monster HF tool from Randy Privett today. What a dream to use. The HF is not done but will post pictures. I made it out of Wormy Hickory and it will have a Cedar collar. The collar is drying as I just glued it on. Boy what a tool. The only problem I had was with the laser not wanting to stay on but made it thru.

So you hollow out the body, then you glue on the collar to hide the big hole?

Dunno, as I've not really done these hollow forms yet.....

Actually the hole is about 1". I just put a collar on most times for looks. I get the collar glued on, bore a hole in it and finish off turning it. Then finish.

Travis Stinson did a good tutorial on collars some time back on SMC. I'd post a link, but...well...you understand. You, on the other hand, can still see the pics over there, so you should be able to find it.
