Derek Cohen Article on Knobs and Totes

I put this in General Woodworking because we nearly all use planes at some time. Great article on a variety of planes and the act of pushing them (including the new Veritas custom series).

It is. There are as many techniques as there are woodworkers. I had carried the belief that I should lower my current bench or make another for hand tool work based on so much info about hand tool bench height. In practice however, it has never bothered me so it was good to see Derek explain why I was feeling comfortable . There have been plenty of times that I have seen someone do something and had that "ah-ha" moment, changed my approach and done better. There are other times when I find I am doing it just right . . ., for me .
