Since we moved in the house 5 years ago, our kitchen cabinets have been neglected and have only occasionally gotten a good wash down, they were getting to the point of embarrassing lately though. So this weekend I broke out the 409, some goof-off, terry-cloth rags, and some touch-up stain. Prior my wife was wanting to paint all of them, but is now wanting to keep them as is.

Nice job u can come and do ours if u like.
Have to ask does your wife want to keep the hardware too? :)

Funny you should ask, just got back from the Hardwood store that I was at Saturday, they had some items on close out. Just bought 25 of the 1st pulls, and 50 of the 3rd ones in this pic, all for $1.25 each, about half price for each style. I'll be spray painting the existing hinges.

Stopped off and grabbed some quick drying satin black spray paint tonight, removed all the hinges and did a couple of quick coats, and reinstalled all with the new handles. Makes for a nice update and SWMBO is happy with them.

Will be replacing counter tops and the backsplash this summer, have new flooring to put down as well, but this will have to do for now.

Thanks all, still have a couple to add on the sink pull-outs, they've never had handles and I installed the trays on them a couple of years ago. Looking at it this morning I really liked the look of all of it, ties the black from the other cabinets in really nicely.

You and your wife have an eye for this stuff.
Looks really cool.well done.Momma must be double delighted given the disruption and cost new cabs would have meant.
