A couple more 4/1

Ya, I bet the wood turners are just frothing at the mouth, imagine a turning tool that never need sharpening!!!!! in your dreams!!

I read somewhere that that hand saw also has sensors in the handle and if you vary off the line a little it shocks you. Kind of a training device.

It is April Fool's Day! I can see a problem with the self sharpening steel right away - how do they make it self sharpen easily along the entire edge? Now make me a plane that automatically adopts the ideal cutting depth.

OH! Sorry, I didn't get the 4/1. In Canada, at least in the government, it's 1/4.

Jeeze Roger its due to the pre-defined shear lines in the steel that cause it to peal off at a constant rate across the entire tool edge. Don't you know anything about how powdered metal tools work? :p ;)

That would be a good one for LV for next year...

Maybe a "swiss army" plane that has a variety of blades you can "flip into place" and automatically set with the "digital depth adjuster with 150 different set points for different planing techniques".
