    A bit of a boast...

This weekend the Tellico Village Art Guild held their 17th annual art show.... We had 55 artists showing 236 pieces (+2 not on their brochure)... each participant was allowed up to 6 pieces in either 2D or 3D works... I had 6 pieces, but since I also supply my own display racks which have 8 shelves, I "slipped" 2 others in to fill the racks... these are the "authorized pieces"

The show was juried by professional judge before the reception and when I got there, discovered I had won an honorable mention ribbon... Click image for larger version.

and I was being hunted by an art patron that was concerned that the bowl that I put in last minute wasn't on the program and didn't have a card before it... we can't sell from the floor of the exhibit because of the church's restrictions, all sales have to be off premise... but he was adamant that he wanted the bowl... And if yesterday is an indication of how the Farmer's market will go this season, it should be a good year.

Some very beautiful stuff. I especially find the ones you "slipped in" (snuck) intriguing, the wood you used on the stems almost has a pewter look.

Well done Chuck. Great looking pieces and looking forward to what you come up with for the rest of the season.
