    Cherry keepsake box

I finally finished a keepsake box for my Grandson's fiance. (She has a penchant for elephants.) It has a mappa burl inlay on top with a varathane cabernet stain. The elephant head knob was found online after much research. The inside is wine suede-tex flocking.

Beautiful box Roger, I'm betting it will be a well received gift.
I'm supposed to respect my elders, but its getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

Very nice, Roger. She's gonna love it. Can you tell us more about the elephant. Is it some kind of casting?

Nice choice of wood and a great finish! Love the elephant pull on it too!

Now that is a KEEPSAKE box!!!! (for goodness sakes, whoever gets it better keep it!!!) Beautiful. The elephant is icing on the cake. My granddaughters are getting old enough that they will be appreciating boxes soon.

God and family, the rest is icing on the cake. I'm so far behind, I think I'm in first place!

Thanks for the comment. The elephant is some kind of resin. I don't really know much about it other than I found it on an image search on Google. They actually list a link to Home Depot with it.
This one came from some craft supply that I don't remember, (I got it last October).

Beautifully done, Roger. Looks great both outside and inside.

That one will be a hit for sure. Very nicely done.
