A long and full life. A pivotal character in the music world and an influence on musicians and laypersons alike.

I saw him play in a really, really cool old auditorium in Vermillion South Dakota when I went to school there. Big Twist and the Mellow Fellow's opened up for him.

    I'll never forget it.

I had the chance to meet BB briefly at his blues club in LA. He was very gracious and willing to spend time chatting with me. He sure left an indelible mark on music.

My wife Myrna purchased a few BB King CDs at Barnes and Noble. She was 88 or 89 at the time. The check out person, in a loud voice, said, "This lady rocks." Myrna could hardly wait to tell me about it.

I started to say, "I'm going to miss BB King." Then I thought about how that would sound in context with what I had just written so I will say it a different way.
I'm going to miss BB King, but darn it all I REALLY miss Myrna.

    Enjoy,
