    Key Storage

The missus wanted a place to put the car keys that were cluttering up her counter and I gave her some small bowls. Seems they cluttered up the counter too. This is about as simple as it gets, but the wood has so much going on that I think it works. Attached to the cabinet on the side of the fridge next to the garage door. Spalted silver maple, 9" x 12" x 1/2". Couple of coats of Watco.

Nice, it is a pretty piece of wood and the cattails are amusing.

We have a big old wooden salad bowl on the island. My wife throws anything left lying around in there, so I can almost always find my keys, sunglasses, pens, 9mm pistol, whatever.
    Cheers,
