    Wanted some Boxelder pen blanks.

We I have a need for about 10 Box Elder wood pen blanks. They don't need to be real fancy ones but long enough for slimlines. I need to make 10 or so for gifts.

I the latest pen blank swap I was involved in there was at least one as I have it. I think it came from Paul...

I also need a few blanks stabilized that I got in the swap. So ideas on where to have that done would be appreciated..

    Thanks
    Garry

No Toni, they aren't. Box elder is a type of maple...a relatively soft one but nice to work with in my opinion. Boxwood is a completely different genus.

I didn't know that. Interesting. It spalts beautifully and very quickly. I'm waiting for some to dry a little for a project for my son. For pens it also takes dyes for coloring. And, it stabilizes nicely also.

Mack and I swapped some wood years ago of this variety. I treasure every square inch of that stuff!

I have 100's of those blanks. I also have burl boxelder if you would rather have some figure. If you are looking for red stained boxelder I have some. PM me
