Bought an Air Compressor, now what??

I'm guessing in this case PSI means Paint Sucked In? :D

David, I've got this gun, which would work fine with your compressor:

I've been very happy with the results I've gotten with it.

Wow Vaughn, that's a bit more than I'll be spending at the moment. I'm definitely a learn by experience kinda guy, so I'll probably pick up the $15 HF gun that everyone seems to love. 6cfm @ 40psi is only a little out of the range of my compressor, so it should be fine.

I've been looking at your drain setup... I don't understand it. So your setup doesn't have any filters like this: http://www.harborfreight.com/inline-desiccant-dryerfilter-68215.html ? You're just counting on gravity and length of the run to drop the moisture out?

I agree the Asturo gun is overkill for my needs. I'm pretty sure the HF gun will work fine with your new compressor, especially if you're not trying to spray something big like an entire kitchen full of cabinets. :thumb:

I have a dessicant dryer right at my air station, pretty much at the end of the plumbing run. I figured I'd let the loops and the drops catch as much moisture as possible before running it into the dryer. The dryer is the blue cylinder thing in this picture. It retails for about $1000, but I found it on eBay for under $100.

Ahh, ok. I remember seeing that dryer in your setup. So is there anywhere other than HF to get affordable, entry-level stuff? Not necessarily the guns, but dryers, filters, regulators, valves, etc? HF seems to have a dyer that's like $70, then a bunch that are super cheap. Northern Tool or Tractor Supply or something...?
