    A newly hooked fish.....................

A Lewiston resident contacted me and wanted know if I'd spend some time sharing information about turning.....He came over this afternoon and when he left.....he'd done some spindle work...beads ...coves....a bonker of sorts........and then he turned his first finished turning project.....Ladies and Gentlemen......I give you Joel and his bubinga bottlestopper....I'd say he did quite well for his first turning experience and project!

    Congrats to both of you!

That's a very nice stopper! Joe, you're on the slippery slope now and there's no turning back and no cure for this addiction we call woodturning. Welcome to the world of woodturning! Take care and all the best to you and yours!

(Hmmm, I know I types a reply for this post thread last night, but I must have closed the window before submitting it.)

Great job, both of you. The bottle stopper looks excellent. Joel obviously has a good eye for form, and apparently had a good teacher to show him how to use the tools, too.
